2021 – 2022 Annual Report

United Way of Yavapai County contributes to our community by identifying needs through funding programs and networking with local agencies. Through focusing on our three building blocks for a good quality life: education, financial stability, and health, we accomplish great work in the community. Our organization offers support by providing financial grants, offering educational workshops, and serving as a conduit between volunteers and nonprofit agencies in Yavapai County.

United Way of Yavapai County is fortunate to partner with generous organizational employee giving campaigns, which include Freeport McMoran Bagdad, the Town of Prescott Valley, Printpack, Costco, Walmart, United Parcel Services, Arizona Public Services Electric Company, and Desert Financial Credit Union. We also appreciate the many individual donors who understand the social needs of our community and make a difference through their monetary donations.

With special thanks to our donors, UWYC provided over $285,000 in grant funding to 21 agencies across Yavapai County in the 2021-2022 fiscal year. These grants provide our partner agencies with the financial means to start or expand a program with the ultimate goal of allowing these programs to achieve long-term sustainability.

Our community impact programs have grown exponentially this past year in Yavapai County. We have partnered with the LECH to run the Collective Impact Coalition, a group of non-profit organization gathering to compare services to help end homelessness in Yavapai County. Since then, we have partnered with organization in the Verde Valley to form the Verde Valley Community Coalition of Nonprofits to communicate services and events with one another. We have also expanded our Center for Organizational Excellence across the county by offering our workshops, both in person and online, for our community members.

Each of these actions not only strengthens our relationships with non-profits in the county, but it expands our knowledge and communications with local organizations as well. Together, United Way of Yavapai County continues to “Show Up United” with the help of our community.
