UWYC Scholarship for Veterans

Are you a Veteran going to college in and living in Yavapai County? If so, you may qualify for a scholarship through United Way of Yavapai County. Each year, UWYC provides a grant designated for veterans, in honor of donor, Mr. Daniel Roberts, who was not only an honored Veteran of World War 2, but a survivor of 3.5 years as a Prisoner of War. The Japanese captured Mr. Roberts, holding him in prison camps in the Philippines and China. Because of his enormous service and sacrifice to our country, we will be honoring his legacy with an annual Veteran Scholarship fund. These scholarships will be available to Veterans who had an honorable or general discharge; who reside in Yavapai County; who are or will be attending a Yavapai County college or trade school; and who can demonstrate a financial need. Contact the UWWYC office for more information.
